Authors' Biographies

James Smallwood is a professor of history at Oklahoma State University where he teaches a number of courses, including Oklahoma history.  He has written five books on various aspects of the Sooner State's history and has edited 10 volumes on Oklahoma's favorite son, Will Rogers.  He has also written a junior high level reader entitled Oklahoma Heritage:  Oklahoma's People, published by Eakin Press in Austin.

Stefanie Decker is originally from Borger, Texas. She received her B.A. from Texas Christian University in English and History and a M.A. in History from Oklahoma State University. Stefanie taught high school English and World History at Lake Dallas, Texas and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Modern U.S. History at Oklahoma State
